I haved work in three secondary schools as a counsellor and often work with people who are at university. I offer you a safe place to talk to someone who is independent, not a friend or relative but someone who is uninvolved with your life. I offer you a chance to talk confidentially and objectively about your concerns, in a non-judgemental setting and aim to help you to find the best way forward.
Sometimes just putting your problems into words helps. You may also find a new perspective. My aim is to enable you to find your own resources to cope. Therefore to seek counselling is not a sign of weakness but indicates your desire to do something constructive about whatever is troubling you. A counselling session usually lasts 45 - 50 minutes. One session may be enough or else you may decide to attend for a number of sessions. The majority of clients attend for less than six sessions.
